Good morning. And having
been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal
salvation. Because of His suffering and learning obedience He saved us not just
for a while, but for all eternity. As we said before He was designated by God
as a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek, not Aaron. The writer
of Hebrews wanted to talk more about Mel, but they had become dull of hearing;
and so it was hard to explain to them. For though by this time you ought to be
teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary
principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid
food. Got expects us to grow - not to stay where we are. Remember that Paul
told Timothy to teach others what he had taught Timothy, and that they should
teach others also. By this time they should be on a solid diet. They did not
get a solid foundation. They needed to tear down everything and start all over
again. For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of
righteousness, for he is a babe. When you are a baby and not used to eating
solid food, there will be a problem. He must mean then that the word of
righteousness is the solid food. Too many Christians do not want that kind of
solid food. I want the easy (milk) way out. Solid food is for the mature, who
because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil. You
have to practice in order to discern between good and evil. Father thank You
that the reader is mature and has his/her senses trained to discern good and
evil.
Out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
Good morning. Out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power. (Kind of like Egypt with the grasshoppers). They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, not any green thing, nor any tree (normally these are the things that the locusts would be interested in), but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads (most likely the 144,000 - possibly the only believers left on earth). They were not permitted to kill anyone, but to torment for five months [My Bible says it is a limited period of time suggested by the lifecycle of the locust.]; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man. Add in those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, and death flees from them. I guess the stings were so painful that they got to the point where they wished they were dead. We will see what the locusts looked like tomorrow. Father just like You will pro...
