Good morning. Paul just got through telling Titus about all these bad speaking people. Instead Titus was to speak the things which are fitting for sound doctrine. In all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds. We are to lead by example. People will do what we do, not what we say to do. We are to have purity in doctrine, dignified (that does not mean with your nose  stuck in the air), sound in speech which is beyond reproach (Watch that tongue ). Why – in order that the opponent may be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us. You lose the argument before you even get started, if your speech is not beyond reproach. Paul's instructions about bondslaves is good for all of us: to be well pleasing, not argumentative, not pilfering, but showing all good faith that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect. Of course you dare not be argumentative with your boss. The not pilfering goes along with what Pastor talked about Sunday. It says elsewhere that we are working unto the Lord. Do and say at work what you would if you saw God standing there. Father thank You that the reader only speaks things which are fitting for sound doctrine.
