Good morning. God,
desiring even more to show the heirs of the promise (that means us), the
unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, in order that by two
unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have
strong encouragement, we who have fled for refuge in laying hold of the hope
set before us. The moment God promised us something, it was certain. That's
because He cannot lie, and He would not change His mind. He then also swore by
Himself that He would bless Abraham and his descendants. Therefore we can be
certain when we lay hold of the hope set before us. Because of this we should
not be tossed to and fro. This hope is an anchor for our souls. This hope
enters within the veil, where Jesus entered for us as a high priest. Once a
year the high priest would go inside the veil to sprinkle blood on the mercy
seat. Only he could go inside and no one else. Inside the veil above the Ark of
the Covenant is where God manifested Himself. No one else could come into God's
presence. Because Jesus entered within the veil for us, we also can come into
God's presence – not just once a year but anytime we want to. He sprinkled His
own blood on the mercy seat. Father thank You that the reader can enter into
Your presence anytime he/she wishes. He/she can make his/her requests and be
certain that You will hear and answer.
Unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
Good morning. While Jesus was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. Jesus was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men. Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. It doesn’t say, but I assume it is still during this time of the Passover. This man came to Jesus by night. Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do the signs that You do unless God is with him. It just said that the people believed in His name because of the signs He was doing; yet it does not say what those signs were. Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. That is why unbelievers cannot tell what is of the kingdom of God and what is not – they’re not born again. Nicodemus doesn’t have a clue. How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he? Unless one is born of water and the Spirit ...
