Good morning. We are back to the handout sheets. I have confessed my sins, and He has been faithful and just to forgive my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. We don't have to worry that maybe this time He won't forgive us. That's because He is faithful, even when we are not faithful. He not only forgives us, He cleanses us from all unrighteousness - so we don't have to confess our sins again, because we won't be doing them again. This morning I was reading in Luke about the prodigal son. The father didn't just forgive the younger son. He threw a block party for him. We have all been the prodigal sometime or other – some of us more prodigal than others. Because God forgives us and cleanses us, we are "free forever from condemnation". When the devil tries to remind us of the wrong things that we have done, we can say to him - we are forgiven. And just like the prodigal "we cannot be separated from the love of God". No matter what we've done, God still loves us. We are God's child. The prodigal was still the father's son, even though he turned his back on all the father's ways. We are God's child because "Christ Himself is in us". Father thank You that the reader is Your child and that You not only forgive him/her, You cleanse him/her from all unrighteousness. He/she cannot be separated from Your love because he/she is Your child.
