Good morning. This is from
first Peter. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who
according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. It is according to His
great mercy, because we don't deserve it. He has caused us to be born again –
transformed from a caterpillar to a butterfly. We are not of this world – it is
not our home. And what are we born again to - a living hope. This hope is alive
in us our entire Christian lives. And we have this hope because of the
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. If He rose from the dead, then so
shall we one day. And we are born again "to obtain an inheritance which is
imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away reserved in heaven for
you". Earthly inheritances can easily perish or be from a defiled source.
But this one will never fade away. It is reserved in heaven for you; in other
words it's got your name on it. "Who are protected by the power of God
through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." The
word protected means to guard as with a garrison. If we are protected by the
power of God, then nothing can harm us. Father thank You that the reader has a
living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Thank You
that he/she has an inheritance not only waiting for her in heaven, but also
here on earth. Thank You for protecting him/her every day of his/her life.
Unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
Good morning. While Jesus was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. Jesus was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men. Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. It doesn’t say, but I assume it is still during this time of the Passover. This man came to Jesus by night. Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do the signs that You do unless God is with him. It just said that the people believed in His name because of the signs He was doing; yet it does not say what those signs were. Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. That is why unbelievers cannot tell what is of the kingdom of God and what is not – they’re not born again. Nicodemus doesn’t have a clue. How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he? Unless one is born of water and the Spirit ...
