Good morning. Today we're back in Psalms. I will remember my song in the night; I will meditate with my heart; and my spirit ponders. Sometimes with all the troubles around us we forget our song. We feel like we have nothing to sing about. When you do sing despite the troubles, it sets your spirit free. I shall remember the deeds of the Lord; surely I will remember Your wonders of old. We need to remember what God has done for us in the past. He did it before; He will do it again. I will meditate on all Your work, and muse on Your deeds. We need to constantly think about all the good things God has done for us. You are the God who works wonders. If you have a big problem, then you need God to work a wonder. Of course all of our problems seem big to us. All of the things that God has done for us – we will not conceal them from our children, but tell to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and wondrous works He has done. How else will our children know what God is done for us if we don't tell them? If God has done it for us, He will do it for them. And we tell our children what God has done for us that they may arise and tell them to their children. It is passed down from generation to generation. Why do we tell them? That they may put their confidence in God and not forget the works of God but keep His commandments. We are responsible to keep it going. Father thank You for all that You have done for the reader, and for all You will do for him/her in the future. Give his/her song back in the night. Remind him/her to tell his/her children and grandchildren all the great things You have done for him/her - that they may put their confidence in You.
