Good morning. May you be
overflowing with energy and very productive today. I believe we looked at this
before in second Timothy. Preach the word; be ready in season and out of
season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. What is that
quote? Preach the word every day; and if necessary use words. We do preach the
word every day by our lives. People don't want to hear words that do not agree
with what they want to do. But when we live our lives according to God's word,
they come under condemnation. They don't want to hear our words – they want to
see our actions. We have to live what we believe. The ones that are hardest to
deal with are our friends and relatives. They don't want to hear from us that
they are doing wrong. And just who do you think you are? I remember when you
did or said so and so. We can't let that throw us. It is not up to us to make
them do what God's Word says. Verse three is so true today. The time will come
when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears
tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their
own desires; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside
to myths. They would rather believe a lie that says they are just fine. And
they get very angry if you tell them they are wrong. They think that if they
come up with something even more outrageous than the last politically correct
statement, then they are more righteous than others. We just have to remember
that it is not up to us to make them believe the way they should. We just
preach the word with our mouths and our lives, and leave the rest to God.
Father thank You that the reader preaches the word in season and out of season
with his/her words and life. People will see that and will want to come to know
You. Help him/her to keep on the straight and narrow path. Thank You for
answering his/her prayers.
So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed
Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
