Good morning. Rejoice and
be glad! But will you really rejoice? We are going to look at a couple of Psalms
today. The righteous man will be glad in the Lord and will take refuge in Him.
Again we see that God is our refuge and our strength. And all the upright in
heart will glory. Oh You who hears prayer, to You all men come. Yes God does
hear our prayer. Remember: because we know God hears our prayer, we know that
we have the requests we asked of Him. How blessed is the one whom You choose,
and bring near to You, to dwell in Your courts. He chose us; and He didn't do
it and then forsake us. He brought us near to Him. And what is the result? We
will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple. There is
goodness and joy in the presence of the Lord. No good thing does He withhold
from us. Who keeps us in life, and does not allow our feet to slip. Remember
that He holds onto our hand so we won't slip and fall. We will walk with
steadfast feet when we walk with God. For You have tried us, oh God; You have
refined us as silver is refined. Remember from yesterday: Blessed is the man
who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the
crown of life. It gets hot in the refining fire of God. But He keeps us from
all harm. We went through fire and through water; yet You brought us out into a
place of abundance. No matter what you have gone through, you will be brought
into a place of abundance. God will not desert you. Father thank You that You
keep the reader’s feet from slipping. You keep him/her in the midst of the fire
and trials. He/she will come forth as gold! He/she will walk in a place of
abundance.
So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed
Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
