Good morning. Today we're
back to the handout sheets. Many are the pressures of the righteous, but the
Lord delivers me out of them all. There are a lot of pressures on us in today's
world. There is a continuous pressure on us to accept all the excesses of
today's society. Everything that you do is OK, they say. You feel the pressure
if you disagree with them. If you are sinning, you want everyone to agree with
you. But God will deliver us out of them all. We just have to stay true to Him
and His word. "I will go in the strength of the Lord." That is how we
can make it in today's world. We go in the strength of God. When we feel weak
and are tempted to submit, He strengthens us. "I am strong in the Lord and
the power of His might. (I am empowered through my union with Him and I am
drawing strength from Him.)" We are not strong in ourselves. It is when we
acknowledge our weakness in ourselves and His strength in us that we can
overcome. There is no challenge too great for us when we rely on God. Father
help the reader to go in Your strength. Help him/her to resist the pressures
against him/her. Deliver him/her from those pressures.

They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
