Good morning. I hope
everything is going well with you. My power was out for an hour and a half
yesterday during the storm. We are back in Psalms today. God be gracious to us
and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us. God blesses us that all the
ends of the earth may fear Him. When we walk in the presence of the Lord, His
face does shine upon us. And when it does, the blessings flow towards us. And
why does He bless us? One reason of course is that He loves us; but it is also
so that nonbelievers will see how He blesses us and will want to come to Him.
They see that He blesses us in the midst of all the crises going on around us.
We must serve an awesome God, they say, if He does that for us. Let God arise
and His enemies be scattered. He is a father of the fatherless and a judge for
the widows. He is with you to bring about justice and mercy. He will never
leave you nor forsake you. God makes a home for the lonely; only the rebellious
dwell in a parched land. That does not mean that we never go through a parched
land – we just don't dwell there. It's not our home. Blessed be the Lord, who
daily bears our burden. The God who is our salvation. God is to us a God of
deliverances; and to God the Lord belong escapes from death. He bears your
burdens and delivers you from all harm. The God of Israel gives strength and
power to the people. Blessed be God! Father thank You that You are a judge for
the reader. You guide and protect him/her. You bear his/her burdens and deliver
him/her. Give him/her and his/her family a great day.
So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed
Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
